Analysis of front cover for music magazine Mojo

Mojos magazine front cover is used to reflect its target audience. This magazine is more subtle in the way it is present. Less stand out colours are used to reflect its target audience. This magazine is aimed at A, B, C1 because it is at the higher end of the market. This piece as this reflects the target audience more.
This like most magazines follows the normal magazines. The main image of this piece only covers 1/3 of the page. This picture relates to the main article and feature of this month’s magazine. This piece uses more subtle colours of black, white and gold and this is used to emphasise the target audience. These colours are reflected as a higher end of the market. This piece main strap line shows what the magazine is about, and the other text around gives little hints of what the article is about. This piece at the top of the page has other features focused in the magazine. This also has the normal features such as the date, issue number and barcode. This magazine has all the normal features for it to target its preferred audience. Mojo a magazine for music and lifestyle and isn’t just for a specific genre. From this cover a white male is seen as the target audience and because of the post youth age range meaning the target audience is probably going to be 25 – 35. The magazine features a mix of music, fashion, lifestyle and this is reflected in the front cover. This magazine tends to aim at older music, and bands because it fits in with their target audience.
This magazine cleverly blends in all components of the magazine, like the main image, the title, the strap line, and all the features to make a really good magazine product. Like most magazines the main image is a mid-range shot, integrating their upper body and head. The features are at the top of this magazine so when the magazine is in the shops only the top can often be seen, and eye catching features like that draw the attention of the audience. This also allows the main image and article of the piece to stand out and be seen.
