Analysis of my college magazine

This is my interpretation of what a college magazine should look like. I did a survey and the feedback I received from that created a base for me which I could build on. I have created a magazine cover which should appeal to teenage students who are studying at the college. I have based my design on research I did. I did a questionnaire in order to entice and engage with my reader’s interests and what they want in their magazine. This product has been specially developed to appeal to them, with certain styles and colour to catch the eye of this audience.

This magazine includes uses a number features to make it look more professional and have a magazine feel to it.

I chose the title of this magazine as I feel this links and appeals to teenagers. This font this piece uses is specially designed to grab the attention of the reader. The bold, smooth, curved font links not only in to the title of this piece (the font has a bit of attitude) but it also stands out and looks like a teenage student style of font. This piece uses three main colours of black, red and white, but also uses grey just for the text to stand out. The red, black and white all mix and work together. The white and black stand out against each other and set the tone of this piece while the red makes key information to stand out. This magazine only uses three main images because this then doesn’t overcrowd the magazine, and make the magazine look tacky.

This magazine cover also has other features three students with a bit of attitude because these images not only associate with the magazine but the people surveys said pictures of students would appeal them to that image. This magazine has the normal features you expect to see on a magazine such as issue number, date, cost which this magazine is free because that’s what my audience asked for.
